Motivational Mix + Message from Hyped-Up Reese

Morning Superstar 💫,

I’m so grateful you’re here today.

Life is precious as hell, & every new day gives us a new chance to pursue our dreams. I truly appreciate this opportunity to make a difference. Let’s seize the moment and make something happen captain 🚀!

Now, I want to start by telling you a story about a young girl who grew up watching her mother chase big dreams of becoming a lawyer, fashion designer, architect; only to be crushed by the weight of it all. She took steps forward but ultimately gave up and it left the family in shambles.

The young girl faced homelessness, food insecurity, and bullying because the family couldn’t afford the newest clothes or the latest gadgets in this materialist society. Watching her mother’s dreams slip away, the young girl learned to fear failure. To her, chasing dreams meant instability, so she chose safety—a steady job, a roof over her head, and nothing that felt like a risk.

That girl was me.

After high school, I started making Jersey Club beats but never thought about selling them. Fear kept me and my dreams super small. I didn’t believe a music career was possible until I made a different choice.

With encouragement from family, friends and a mentor UNIIQUE. I took a leap by uploading my music on the internet and submitting my music into competitions. In 2019, I showed the world what I was capable of and I performed at the Goldie Awards in Brooklyn. In 2022, DJ Mag recognized me as part of the Jersey Club Evolution. In 2023, Beyoncé used my America Has a Problem remix in her Renaissance World Tour. In 2024, I graduated with a degree in Audio Production from Full Sail University and sold my first copies of my Jersey Club album, D.O.P.P.E.!

Huge shout out to the people who bought my album; Loo my co-worker, Mama Ty my mother-in-law, Tanang an old friend from elementary school, and my realtor Staci!!

And for anyone still reading this.. the fear didn’t disappear..

I just stopped letting it control me. If I could go from paralyzed by doubt to showing up for my dreams every week, so can you which brings me to this week's quote:

“The important thing is not being afraid to take a chance. Remember the greatest failure is to not try, once you find something you love to do, be the best at doing it.” By Debbie Fields

Here’s how to start overcoming your fear of failure:

1. Take one small step. Action builds confidence.

2. Surround yourself with supportive people/educators/mentors. The right people push you forward.

3. Accept fear but move anyway. Growth happens outside your comfort zone.

4. Stay consistent. Success is built one decision at a time.

If you needed a sign, this is it. You deserve every damn dream you’ve ever had. Now go be great and have a bomb ass week on purpose, I'll see you next week my friend. Enjoy!
