Welcome to another dope ass week on this planet they call Earth. I hope you are treating yourself well and are taking care of yourself. I’ve learned that the more I love and show up for myself the better I am able to show up for the people that I love in my life. Lol sometimes I wish the universe sent us life lessons and wisdom through text messages but for some reason it’s always coming from a painful experience. A few years ago I was asked to DJ a gig through my tik tok DMs and the client asked me my rate. I said “$125 for the first four hours and after that it is $150 ”. I didn’t communicate effectively with my client. I meant to say “I charge $125 for each hour for the first four hours and then after that hour the price increases” but because I never sent an invoice, my words were marked in stone inside of a TikTok DM. At the end of the day, I definitely DJed for 4 hours for $125 dollars and it’s all because I was slacking on my business. I wasn’t taking it seriously and it reflected in my payment. Needless to say I’ve never conducted business in my tik tok dms ever again 🤣. This week's quote change before you have to is powerful. You’ve got this, and try to have a bomb ass week on purpose!
